Who carries out our translations? Our German to English translations are carried out exclusively by native speakers of English. Our experienced translators/proofreaders are friendly, reliable, professional and assure top quality. What types of texts from which areas are translated? We cover a large variety of areas/texts:
Texts: correspondence, image brochures, product descriptions, manuals, applications, résumés (CVs), ad copy, commercial texts, press releases, announcements, guides, tourist/visitor information, literary works, reviews, essays, presentations, web sites... Of course, we promise safe and confidential treatment of all information supplied to us. What formats are used? Naturally, we support standard office programs: Microsoft Word/Office XP, Excel, PowerPoint When possible, we prefer to receive texts as data files. Only written orders will be processed. How can I get a price/time estimate for a translation or proofreading order? To request a cost-free price quotation, simply send us the text to be translated/corrected (in the desired format) and the requested delivery date, either by email, fax or post (see below). We will evaluate the text and determine a price based on the following factors: degree of difficulty (research required, technical specificity, etc.), length of text and amount of time allowed for delivery. You will then receive your price/time estimate in writing (either by email, fax or post). Range of Prices Translation Texts from German into English in MS Word/Office format: per line: EUR 1.00 - 1.50 (a standard line contains 50 characters) per page: EUR 50.00 - 75.00 Minimum charge: EUR 50.00 Other formats (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.): charged an hourly rate Proofreading All texts: charged an hourly rate Larger volumes/projects a reduced flat rate will be proposed.How are translation/proofreading orders submitted, translated/corrected, delivered and billed? Just follow our simple 5-step procedure:
2. Your translation/proofreading order will be carried out in a professional and timely fashion by a trained and experienced English native speaker. 3. The accurate and complete translation/correction of your text will be delivered to you by email either on or before your requested deadline. 4. Upon receiving your translated/corrected text, please review it to assure your satisfaction. 5. An invoice for your translation/proofreading order will be sent to you by mail. Payment is due upon receipt. When can a translation delivery be expected/how long of a turnaround can be expected? You request the delivery date and we will consider it in our price/time estimate. We guarantee prompt delivery of your important translation on or before the agreed upon delivery date, or your order is on us. Express service (overnight or on weekends) is also available. The standard turnaround time on a translation/proofreading order is 24-48 hours; but please allow a longer delivery period for longer texts. A price reduction will be offered for longer delivery periods of shorter texts. When is payment for an order due? What form of payment is accepted? Payment for a translation/proofreading order is due upon receipt of the invoice by post - and only when the client is 100% satisfied with their order! Payment by direct bank transfer is preferred.
